When you first enter the property, you start an escape room-like puzzle experience to find the hidden speakeasy. You should expect riddles, puzzles, hidden objects, secret entrances, and a few other surprises! The escape room typically takes about 45 minutes to complete, and is a the perfect way to start off your getaway! The Lake Escape is a 1970s lake cabin that has been restored to feel brand new while retaining its old charm. You'll have all the modern amenities you come to expect (fast wifi, toasty fireplace, smart TVs), while surrounded by character and nostalgia of the past. The full kitchen has an electric range, a full fridge, coffee, Keurig, a toaster, and all the other kitchen items you'd need to cook a homemade meal. There is an island that seats 2 and a larger dining room table that seats 6. This is a great place to stay in all four seasons - each has special moments! Would you instead sled through the forest in the winter or jump off the dock in the summer? This three-bedroom home is 1700 square feet with 3 queen beds perfect for a family, couple's getaway, or friend's trip. The house is spacious enough for 6 people to each have their own space, but small enough that a couple would still have so much fun being there just the two of them. ESCAPE ROOM DETAILS: The escape room is completely optional. The goal of the escape room is to help you find and unlock the hidden speakeasy. If you'd prefer to have access to the whole property when you arrive, just let us know! Here's how it works.... When you arrive to the property, you only have access to about half of the home. You'll find your first clue on the dining room table. You should expect an easy/moderate escape room-like experience that takes about 45 minutes - 1 hour to complete. There will be a 'clue book' available to help you if you get stuck. Once you finish the escape room, you'll have access to the entire property to enjoy for the remainder of your stay. If you do the escape room, we will ask you to 'reset' the clues where you found them for the next guests. :) LAKE ACCESS: Lake Escape sits across the street from the lake and you will have a few different ways to access the lake. First, you have 4 different neighborhood access points around the lake. The closest access point is about 200 steps away from the house. There is also a public county park that has a beach and playground about a 5 minute drive away. QUIET HOURS: We do ask our guests to be kind to our peaceful lake wildlife and residential neighbors by agreeing to quiet hours between 10:00pm and 5:30am. Please do not use the hot tub, bonfire, or outdoor areas during quiet hours. RELEASE: We ask all guests to please wear life jackets and sign a release before using the hot tub, boats, or lake.
